Ethical business principle

  1. Our business partners

We value cooperation and conduct proper transactions with business partners around the world.

  • We only work with suppliers, business partners and other third parties who act ethically.

  • All suppliers and business partners are expected to have high ethical standards, support sustainable business practices and respect human rights.

  • All third parties acting on our behalf to sell or market our products, or interacting with government agencies on our behalf, must act in accordance with our policies.

Cooperation with governments, authorities and other public institutions:

  • Many governments have enacted specific laws, rules, and regulations governing cooperation with businesses. It is a core principle of DiscVision Solutions GmbH to meet these requirements and strictly adhere to all provisions and conditions of every government contract.

  • It is not permitted for DiscVision employees, suppliers, or business partners to engage in any form of tax evasion or fraudulent circumvention of tax laws through any intentional act or omission with dishonest intent.

  1. Anti-corruption

We do not permit or tolerate any unauthorized payments of any kind.

  • We comply with all provisions of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the UK Bribery Act and other applicable anti-corruption laws in which we do business.

  • It is not permitted to give, receive, or offer bribes—and it is never acceptable for a third party to do so on our behalf. Bribes are not limited to cash payments and can be anything of value, such as travel, entertainment, promotional items, the promise of a job, or even a gift.

  • Employees, business partners, suppliers and other third parties acting on our behalf may not directly or indirectly offer, procure, promise or accept anything of value in return for preferential business treatment or to obtain or retain business.

  • All gifts, hospitality, travel, and marketing or training events must comply with our policies, must clearly serve legitimate business purposes, must be modest and infrequent, and must be transparent.

  • All charitable donations or sponsorships must be approved in accordance with our policies and may not be used as a pretext for an improper or unauthorized payment. Political donations made in the company's name are strictly prohibited.

  • We must also comply with all applicable anti-money laundering laws. Please report any unusual or suspicious activity or transactions to management immediately, such as:

    • Attempted payment in cash or from an unusual source of funding;

    • Agreements that involve the transfer of funds to or from countries or entities unrelated to the transaction or the customer;

    • Unusually complex transactions that do not reflect a genuine business purpose; or attempts to circumvent recording or reporting requirements.

3. Data protection

We protect personal data.

  • DiscVision Solutions GmbH is committed to complying with all laws governing the collection, use and processing of personal data.

  • It is one of DiscVision's core principles to collect personal data only lawfully and to store it only for legitimate business, legal, or contractual reasons. Employees should retain personal data only for as long as necessary.

  • Employees may only access, collect, use and disclose the minimum amount of personal data necessary to achieve a legitimate purpose, and they may only do so if they are authorized to handle the personal data.

  • Employees who are authorized to access, collect and use personal data may only disclose personal data to authorized persons or third parties who have a legitimate business reason to know the data and who are obligated to protect the data.

  • If notices or consents regarding the intended use of personal data are required, employees must consult with the data protection team to ensure that the notices are appropriate.

  • If data protection laws restrict the transfer of personal data across borders, employees must evaluate these projects with the data protection officer.

  • DiscVision requires third parties to protect the personal data provided to them by DiscVision and to use it only for authorized purposes.

  1. Human rights

We recognize the dignity and equality of all people, wherever they are in the world.

  • We are committed to respecting and promoting human rights in accordance with local and international standards, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Our goal is to contribute to greater respect for human rights in the communities where we operate.

  • We ensure fair working conditions and expect the same from our suppliers and business partners.

  • No form of modern slavery is acceptable within DiscVision or within any company that works with or for us. Modern slavery includes human trafficking, slavery, serfdom, and forced or compulsory labor.

  1. Sustainability

We are committed to sustainable development and environmental protection.

  • We are committed to sustainable business practices and are actively working to reduce our carbon emissions and minimize our impact on the environment.

  • Our employees are expected to adhere to our sustainability principles, which are outlined in our global sustainability policy. We conduct our business in a way that protects the environment by reducing waste, preventing pollution, promoting recycling, and conserving resources. We are committed to complying with all applicable environmental laws.

  1. Customer relations

We treat customers fairly and with respect.

  • Employees must maintain customer trust and protect all customer data and information.

  • Employees, suppliers and business partners are not authorized to disclose customer data outside of DiscVision Solutions GmbH and may only access customer data if this is necessary for legitimate business purposes and only within the legally permissible framework.

7. Intellectual property

We protect our ideas.

  • All employees, suppliers and business partners are expected to take care to protect and keep secret DiscVision's inventions, patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.

  • Employees involved in software development must pay particular attention to the rules and regulations regarding intellectual property and should contact management with any questions or concerns.

  • Employees, suppliers, and business partners must also respect the intellectual property rights of others. We only use licensed software and do not download photos, films, music, or other copyrighted works without the appropriate permission.

8. Fair competition

We are fighting hard for every business.

  • We win customers based on our products or services and do not disparage our competitors or solicit or use non-public information from our competitors.

  • We comply with all relevant antitrust laws and fair competition laws in all countries where we do business.

  • We never collude with competitors to fix prices, restrict production, divide markets or offers, or make any other agreements to limit competition. As a general rule, we do not discuss prices, customers, product plans, or other confidential information with competitors.

  • Employees who work with distributors and other business partners must ensure that contracts with such distributors are reviewed and approved by management to guarantee compliance with laws protecting fair competition.

  1. Information and cybersecurity

We protect our confidential information, electronic devices and systems.

  • We protect confidential information, such as business plans, product developments, pricing strategies, or information provided to us by a customer. We classify this information in accordance with our policies and handle it accordingly.

  • Employees are expected to protect the security of our computers and systems by using secure passwords, taking measures to protect DiscVision equipment to prevent theft or damage, reporting suspicious emails, and not clicking on links that appear suspicious.

  • Employees who suspect a security-related incident or data breach, or who become aware of a situation in which data may have been compromised, must report this to management immediately.

  • Employees may only use DiscVision computers, systems and equipment for business purposes, and our employees are expected to act with discretion in their communication within the company and in communication with external parties.
